We power the everyday work that powers your business.
PINATA is built by a small, focused team obsessed with making field operations a respected, data-rich discipline — not an afterthought managed in spreadsheets.
"Every solution we build must deliver: immediate familiarity, configurable workflows, inherited data structure, external collaboration, respect for end-users, and excellent design."
PINATA started in consumer sampling — helping brands and agencies plan, staff, and report on field marketing events. But our customers kept asking for more.
Budget management. Vendor payments. National account tracking. Distributor data integration. Each request pointed to the same gap: there was no operating system for brand execution. The tools that existed were either generic task apps that didn't understand the industry, or narrow point solutions that only solved one piece of the workflow.
So we built one. Today PINATA is a horizontal platform that powers every type of field operation — from merchandising routes to trade marketing budgets to agency payroll — all from one configurable architecture.
The thread connecting everything we've built is a belief that field work generates some of the most valuable first-party data in the consumer goods industry. Every account visit, every photo, every check-in, every payment is a structured data event. Most companies lose this data to spreadsheets and email chains. We capture it, structure it, and make it available for decisions — in real time.

What we believe
Field work is a data problem.
Every interaction in the field generates data. The question is whether that data gets structured and connected, or lost in an email. We build software that treats every account visit, photo, and payment as a structured data event — because the companies that capture this data will outcompete the ones that don't.
Multi-party is the only architecture that matters.
Suppliers fund the work. Agencies staff it. Distributors execute it. Any platform that only serves one of those parties is solving a fraction of the problem. We built PINATA to connect all three from day one — not as a bolt-on, but as the foundation.
Respect the end user.
The people in the field are not the people who buy software. But if they don't use it, none of the dashboards matter. Text-to-Track, the Mobile App, and our five-minute training time exist because of this principle.
Configuration over customization.
Enterprise customers need flexibility. But custom-built features for one customer create technical debt for everyone. We build configurable systems — the same architecture serves a 5-person agency and a 40,000-activation enterprise.
Structured by default.
We don't ask customers to clean their data later. Every survey, every photo, every GPS check-in captures structured, analysis-ready data at the moment of creation. This is the unsexy architectural decision that makes everything else possible.
Earn the system of record.
We don't claim to be the system of record. We earn it by being the place where the work actually happens. When budget allocation, field execution, payment processing, and client reporting all live in one system, there's no argument about what happened.
What we're looking for
People who want to build something meaningful at the intersection of software, logistics, and data. We're especially interested in engineers who care about data architecture, designers who respect complex workflows, and operations people who think in systems.
